2024 Gratitude Note: Faith, Miracles and Gratitude

2024 Gratitude Note

Hey, fam! It’s been a while since I’ve shared here, and wow, what a journey 2024 has been. Like the saying goes, “Much water has passed under the bridge.” This year was one of unexpected twists, deep lessons, and undeniable miracles.

The early months of 2024 were tough—brutally so. I faced challenges that left me in tears more often than I’d like to admit. But even in the storm, I learned a life-changing lesson: Simply obey God’s instructions, even when they don’t align with your desires or make sense in the moment. That obedience carried me through some of the darkest days.

In the midst of my struggles, I was asking God for more in my career. Rejections piled up, and doubt crept in. But my inner circle? They wouldn’t let me give up. One friend constantly sent me links to opportunities, following up like a personal cheerleader: “Have you applied yet? Are you working on it?” Another showered me with hope, reminding me that good things were just around the corner. I couldn’t help but wonder, How did I get so blessed with people who believe in me more than I believed in myself?

Ohhhhh dearrrr, I experienced miracles in my academics, my health, and yes in my career! I literally saw God turned situations roundabout and I couldn’t help sounding like a siren “wowww, wowww” at each turn.  There was even a moment when my phone was stolen at church. After we had spent almost an hour trying to find the phone I said that we should stop searching and that I trust that the “Stealer” would beg me to return my phone the next day. Dear reader, guess what? That’s exactly what happened! The next day, my phone was returned, and the “stealer” apologized. God is truly the doer of miracles!

This year’s end was the most beautiful and humbling I’ve ever experienced. When I yielded to God’s nudges to take action, He provided resources and opened doors I never expected.

Here’s what 2024 taught me:

  • Keep a guileless heart.
  • Prioritize God and obey His word.
  • Serve faithfully wherever He places you.
  • Watch, pray, and never lose your kindness or joy, no matter the challenges.

To anyone reading this, I hope my journey inspires you to keep the faith and trust God’s timing. Here’s to a 2025 filled with even more miracles and growth! I end this gratitude note with my favourite bible verse; For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, Nor did their own arm save them; But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, Because You favored them. (Psalm 44:3)
